We would like to thank Shelby Hedepeth, COTA student that was training with us here in the therapy department for this wonderful planter. She decided on building this as a part of a project where students are supposed to do something or leave something behind for the betterment of the residents. It has been put to full use and our residents are loving it.

We had a spooktacular time at our annual Halooween Carnival. The festivities included games, snacks, and candy of course!

We would like to thank Home Care Hospice and Reliant Transportation for dressing up and delighting our residents and staff with their costumes.

Holiday Fun – December 27, 2017

We have had a busy holiday season! Our residents have enjoyed all of the festivities.

Manhattan Mall is always a hit. It is sponsored by St. Richard’s Catholic Church and School. They donate gift items for our residents to have a shopping experience where they can choose gifts for their family or themselves. The students set up the mall and assist the residents in choosing the perfect gifts and they also wrap them. Many thanks to the staff, parents, and students.

There are Christmas trees and decorations everywhere you turn in the facility. Our residents even help decorate the trees as a part of their Physical and Occupational Rehabilitation.

We even experienced snow this December. It was absolutely beautiful and a treat for the residents.

Therapy Dogs Visit Manhattan – June 9, 2017

Manhattan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC’s residents enjoyed a visit from several therapy dogs in June!

It was so much fun to watch the pet do tricks and love on the residents. We can’t wait until they come back again!

Annual Easter Hat Parade – April 25, 2017

Our residents enjoyed our Annual Easter Hat Parade.

The Easter hats were made during a craft activity the week of Easter. They attach flowers, ribbons, plastic eggs, and other items to make the hats as bright and colorful as possible. Each year there is an overall winner for Best Hat chosen by fellow residents.

The residents then get to display their hats throughout the facility during the parade.

Senior Health Fair – October 19, 2015

Stop by our table at the City of Jackson 22nd Annual Senior Health & Wellness Fair. It will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 9:00am – 12:00pm at the Jackson Covention Complex, 105 E. Pascagoula Street in Jackson.

There will be health screenings, health eating demonstrations, healthy lifestyle demonstrations, and information on our community.
